Celebrating and promoting the political assassination of American civilians has no place in public service — we must demand strict accountability.
Public service is a privilege that carries the responsibility for the highest standards of professionalism and respect. When teachers or employees in NGOs or government agencies celebrate the cowardly assassination of any individual, they betray the trust of every citizen they serve. Taxpayers should never foot the bill for conduct that mocks tragedy or dishonors the value of human life. Time and again, we see leftist extremists dehumanize anyone who disagrees with them, to the point of excusing or even depicting their violent deaths.
Today, the radical Left labels anyone who challenges them as a nazi, fascist, dictator, or white supremacist. They demand total submission, refusing even to tolerate open debate or dissent within our society. Should any citizen have to question whether their children’s teachers or those in taxpayer-funded roles support violence against people for their beliefs? The cruel celebration of the assassination of the God-fearing Free Speech Advocate Charlie Kirk in Maryland lays the truth bare.
That is why the Maryland Freedom Caucus is calling on Governor Moore to renounce this toxic and dehumanizing language and require corrective actions from every public sector employee who is celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
We demand that every state employee, educator, and NGO worker uphold integrity, dignity, and an unwavering commitment to all Marylanders—regardless of religious or political views. Public trust doesn’t restore itself; it must be rebuilt by confronting and correcting those who violate it.
